| ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION The Tarkington firm is proud to have been in the forefront of the movement toward wide and creative use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). The firm believes its ADR experience will prove valuable to each client, whether or not its litigation is ultimately resolved through ADR. We count among our success many cases in which creative, well-timed and soundly-conceived ADR had been beneficial to our clients both in legal expense and in substantive results. However, the firm also recognizes that, even though certain ADR approaches may in some cases clearly benefit all party, in other cases specific ADR strategies may well be detrimental to our client's interests regarding substantive results, legal expenses, timing or other legal goals. For these reasons, our firm does not a priori predetermined that its assigned litigation is either suitable or unsuitable for ADR, but, rather offers advice on ADR that is tailored to the litigation at hand and the specific client interest. Indeed, the firm considers its advice on whether, when and how to submit a case to ADR to be among the most valuable of its services. |
